PENCIL COMPACTION

It is important that before paving commences around any pool that all unearthed sand which hold air pockets are compacted thoroughly too eliminate cavities which could cause sinkage at a later date.

Previously, in order for this to be achieved an 8 metre pool required up to 35 hours of saturation below the surface in order for air pockets and cavities to be filled in over a six week period. This worked out to one hour of labour and approximately 800 litres of water per day, with still no guarantee that paving would not collapse.

There is now a safe alternative to save you time, effort and water. Pencil compacting is done in less than one day and gives you the piece of mind that the job will be done right the first time with the guarantee that your paving/landscaping will not sink in the future.

It has come to our attention that there are certain contractors in Perth working around fibreglass and concrete pools which are unqualified to do works such as pencil compacting. Please be aware such contractors may void the warranty on your pools shell and are not recommended by the major pool companys for obvious reasons.

Before organising any such works around your pool please contact your pool company and make sure they recommend the preferred company.

Hire Protection Boards STOP DAMAGE BEING CAUSED TO YOUR PAVING

When ever there is large machinery involved in earthworks or renovations, it is likely there will be some damage caused.

Whether it is permanent marking on paving, or indentations on grass, most can be avoided by laying a protective boarding down prior to earthworks.

With the boards acting as a buffer between the heavy machinery and the surface which is being protected, it also allows the added weight from the machine to be distributed throughout the surface area of the board.

All prices are based on a minimum weekly hire which includes the delivery and pickup.

With the laying of the boards also included in the cost you won't have to worry about the positioning or placement of the boards prior to excavation.

After the works have been complete, we will sweep the boards and remove them from their original position, leaving you less mess and less damage.

All panels are pre fabricated in 2400mm x 2100mm galvinised steel. All mesh is welded to the frame giving it rigorous support to withstand the elements of construction. Or we have the more traditional fencing 3000mm X 1800mm which has chain mesh laced to the frame. These are supported by starpickets or T stands which insert into the panel leaving a flush look at ground level. Either of these an ideal way of protecting any site.

By law no water can be put into a pool until a council approved barrier is installed around or on top of the pool.

With land area becoming smaller and access for machinery becoming tighter, more people are resorting to their back yard blitz before construction of their house takes place.

This option allows free access for large machinery such as bobcats, excavators and cranes to install swimming pools without the headache of dealing with obstacles' and house structures which sometimes pose a problem during excavation

When building a new house, mesh and planks is the most convenient and efficient way of complying with council regulations on a short or long term basis and complies with all OSH regulations.

With the option of also installing shade cloth to prevent not only building material from accidentally from falling in to the pool but also stop any unwanted visitors from falling into the water.

Mesh and Planks can be installed on fibregalss or concrete and is complete with anchors to avoid lifting.
