China's Pool Installation

 

One of my greatest acheivements as a supervisor was when I was asked by Aquatic Leisure Technologies to help install the first fibreglass pool on Main land China.

 

It was certainly an eye opener to see the amount of back breaking work the Chinese went through to excavate a 12mtr by 5mtr hole which was filled with rock, clay and water.

 

The whole excavation process from start to finish took 8 days which calculated to 14 hour days in 40 degree heat. It was all done by hand and no machinery was used apart from the crane lifting the pool in.
